A Canandaigua man has been charged with aggravated family offense following an investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office into events that occurred between April 27th and May 3rd at the Ontario County Jail.
According to investigators, 35-year-old Levi Vanella had contacted the protected party in a stay-away order of protection multiple times during that span. Vanella had a previous conviction for a specified offense within the last five years, the charge was upgraded to aggravated family offense.
Vanella was arraigned before CAP Court and sent back to the Ontario County Jail.
