A reported domestic incident at a home on State Routes 5 and 20 in Hopewell Thursday night resulted in the arrest of a Hopewell man on a felony assault charge.
Robert Krupcznski is accused of knocking out the front tooth of a family member during a physical altercation. The victim also suffered an abrasion and swelling to their lip. It is also alleged that prior to deputies arriving on the scene, the 57-year-old Krupcznski got rid of several articles of evidence. He was charged with tampering with physical evidence.
Krupcznski was taken to the Ontario County Jail and will appear in Hopewell Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
