A Honeoye Falls man is facing multiple charges after crashing his car Sunday night in Ontario County.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies investigated a hang-up 911 car made by Tyler Weston just before midnight. They determined Weston crashed his car into a mailbox on State Route 65, causing it to become disabled.
Standardized field sobriety tests found the 23-year-old to be impaired by drugs.
After his arrest, deputies say a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine was found in Weston’s pocket.
Weston was issued an appearance ticket for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and traffic tickets for Driving While Impaired by Drugs, Leaving Lane Unsafely, and having an open alcoholic beverage in his vehicle.
Weston is set to answer the charges against him in West Bloomfield Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
