A check the welfare complaint in Yates County over the weekend resulted in the arrest of a Himrod man.
While on scene on Friend Road in the town of Potter, Jordan Daggett was observed driving a car entering the driveway to a residence. Upon speaking with Daggett, deputies reported the 35-year-old displayed signs of impairment and was placed through standardized field sobriety tests.
Daggett was then arrested on charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs and driving an unregistered motor vehicle.
Daggett taken to Yates County Jail to await CAP arraignment due to a previous conviction for driving while intoxicated.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
