A Himrod man will appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date following a recent traffic stop in the Yates County village.
According to Penn Yan Police, Patrick Howell was stopped on East Main Street after police observed his car to have an alleged equipment violation. During the traffic stop, a check of Howell’s license revealed they were suspended for failure to pay child support and a driver responsibility assessment.
Howell was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
