Yates County Deputies report the arrest of 35-year-old Robert Gerlock of Hemlock following a motor vehicle crash on State Route 247 in the Town of Potter on Saturday.
Gerlock, who was operating the vehicle at the time of the crash, failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a chemical test at the Yates County Public Safety Building.
He has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI per se with a BAC of .08% or higher), unsafe lane change, speeding, and failure to notify the DMV of an address change.
Gerlock was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges in Town of Potter Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
