On Saturday, Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shoplifting call at the Von Maur department store at Eastview Mall in the Town of Victor.
Following an investigation, deputies arrested Laura Kondziela, 31, of Grand Island. Investigators allege that Kondziela concealed $294 worth of merchandise belonging to the store and exited without attempting to pay for the items.
Kondziela was charged with Petit Larceny and issued an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to answer the charge in Victor Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
