A Geneva woman has been arrested in connection with a late-May incident that caused more than $2,600 in vehicle damage.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Desiree Mendez was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, a felony. Investigators say Mendez intentionally damaged a vehicle in the Town of Farmington on May 28, around 11:09 p.m.
The damage was estimated at $2,607.11. Mendez was transported to the Ontario County Jail to appear in CAP Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
