On Tuesday, the Geneva Police Department arrested a local woman following a complaint regarding threatening communications.
Rebecca Weber, 38, was taken into custody on Wadsworth Street. According to investigators, Weber allegedly sent threatening messages to another individual without a legitimate purpose. Following an investigation into the report, officers determined the communications were intended to harass or alarm the victim.
Weber was charged with Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree. She was processed and held for further court proceedings.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
