A Geneva man has been arrested for failing to register his current address, which, as a convicted sex offender, is required under New York State Law.
Tyler Ross previously resided in Seneca Falls before relocating to Geneva. An investigation by Seneca Falls Police was initiated after it was discovered that the 29-year-old allegedly failed to disclose his change of address for an extended period of time. Due to a prior conviction for violating the New York State Sex Offender Registry requirements, Ross was charged with Failure to Register Address — Previous Conviction, a Felony.
Following his arrest, Ross was sent to the Seneca County Jail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
