A welfare check in the town of Geneva on Friday resulted in the arrest of a Geneva man on a warrant from out of state.
Through an investigation, it was discovered by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office that 49-year-old Jeremy Simons had an active warrant for his arrest out of Fremont County, Colorado. Simons was taken into custody for the warrant as it stated full extradition.
Simons was transported to Ontario County Jail to be held as a Fugitive from Justice until arrangements are made for the original warrant.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
