A 27-year-old Geneva man was arrested Friday by Geneva Police on an active bench warrant issued out of Geneva City Court.
The warrant for Edwin Irizarry-Sprague was issued after he allegedly violated the conditions of his probation. While processing Irizarry-Sprague, Geneva Police allegedly found a crack pipe containing cocaine residue his pocket.
Irizarry-Sprague was charged with violation of probation and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
