A Geneva man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a burglary that occured in the Town of Seneca. The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Geneva man in connection with a burglary in the Town of Seneca.
Deputies from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office responded Jan. 6 to a report of a burglary in progress on State Route 5 & 20. During the investigation, deputies detained a suspect matching the victim’s description and later arrested 26-year-old Richard Earl Thomas II of Geneva.
Thomas is accused of unlawfully entering a residence and stealing personal property. He was taken to the Ontario County Jail and held pending CAP court.
The investigation is ongoing, and deputies are looking into possible related incidents in the area.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
