Police have arrested a Geneva man in Wayne County for allegedly issuing a bad check worth almost $10,000 to a Monroe County business.
The sheriff’s office reports Lee Houghton was provided a service by a company out of Henrietta to install multiple items and equipment valued at over $9,600 at a restaurant in Lyons. When the company went to deposit the check it was returned for insufficient funds.
After the company failed to reach Houghton, it filed a 10-day protest. Houghton was arrested a short time later.
