A hit-and-run accident on Main Street in the village of Moravia resulted in the arrest of a Freeville man.
Witnesses told police a car driven by 25-year-old Sabdy Ramirez-Vasques went off the road and struck a mailbox. A Cayuga County Sheriff’s Deputy located Ramirez-Vasques vehicle on Tollgate Hill Road in the Town of Locke and initiated a traffic stop.
After investigation, the driver, Ramirez-Vasques, was placed into custody for DWI along with other traffic violations. Ramirez-Vasques was transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he provided a breath sample of .19% BAC and was issued tickets returnable to Locke Town Court in August.
