Four Yates County juveniles have been charged with burglary and criminal trespass following an investigation by the Yates County Sheriff’s Department.
On June 11th, the Sheriff’s Department received a criminal mischief and burglary complaint at a Village of Dresden business. Two nights later, a Dresden resident reported to police suspicious activity in the area of the same business. A quick response by the Sheriff’s Department and State Police led to the arrest of the four unidentified juveniles.
The juveniles were turned over to their parents to await further action through the Yates County Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Aide Bureau.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
