A fight on campus resulted in the arrest of five Corning Community College students. State Police say the alleged assaults took place last Wednesday night at Perry Hall, a dorm on the Steuben County college’s campus.
An investigation determined two victims, an 18-year-old female and an 18-year-old male, were interviewed by troopers after reporting multiple individuals physically assaulted them. The incident reportedly began earlier in the day, escalating into a confrontation outside one of the victim’s dorm rooms.
Both victims received medical evaluations. The male victim declined further treatment, while the female victim was transported to Guthrie Corning Hospital for additional care.
Campus Safety provided surveillance footage of the incident, which showed a group of five males approaching the victim’s dorm room, followed by a physical altercation. The individuals involved were identified as students.
