A Fayette woman was arrested in the early morning hours of July 4 on an outstanding warrant, according to the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department.
Just after midnight, officers took 44-year-old Elizabeth Prentice into custody on a Petit Larceny charge. The arrest stemmed from an active warrant related to a previous theft incident.
Prentice was processed at the Seneca Falls Police Department and then transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where she awaited arraignment in Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
