Farmington Woman Arrested in U-Haul Vehicle Case

SHARE NOW

A Farmington woman has been charged after deputies say she failed to return a rental vehicle.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that 38-year-old Jamie Papa was arrested on Monday and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Deputies say the arrest followed an investigation into a complaint from U-Haul alleging that Papa did not return a vehicle as required under the rental agreement.

Papa was taken into custody without incident and processed at the Sheriff’s Eastview Mall substation. She is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court on September 9 to answer the charge.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
