A Farmington woman has been arrested for allegedly receiving more than $6,000 in housing assistance she was not entitled to.
Authorities say Delilah Rivadeneira received the overpayment after an unauthorized person lived in her subsidized housing from May through September 2025, according to the Geneva Housing Authority. The overpayment totaled $6,074.
Rivadeneira is also accused by the Ontario County Department of Social Services of providing false information on her SNAP assistance application, including failing to report her household composition and ownership of a 2025 vehicle.
She was arrested at the Ontario County Jail and charged with grand larceny and offering a false instrument for filing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
