A hit-and-run accident Sunday night in Ontario County resulted in the arrest of a town of Farmington woman.
Taryn White is accused of being behind the wheel of a Honda Civic when she allegedly struck multiple mailboxes on Brickyard Road in the town of Canandaigua and continued driving away from the scene. Sheriff’s Deputies later stopped White and discovered her to be intoxicated and subsequently arrested her for Driving While Intoxicated. She was also charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and DWI prior within 10 years.
White was being held at the Ontario County Jail pending centralized arraignment on the charges. She will appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
