A Farmington man was arrested Sunday morning and charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child following a domestic incident, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say 34-year-old Mark Heyden was allegedly physically violent in the presence of three children, ages 6 to 9, causing them emotional distress.
Heyden was taken into custody around 10:30 a.m. and transported to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in Farmington Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
