A Farmington man has been arrested on a grand larceny charge.
A joint investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the Ontario County Department of Social Services determined Mark Cupp received $1,057.00 in SNAP Assistance he was not entitled to because of an unreported household income of $10,683.79 from a family member. The alleged theft occurred from January 1st through March 31, 2023, and the unreported household members’ income was received from November 24, 2022 through March 31, 2023.
Cupp was released on an appearance ticket for Hopewell Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
