A 28 year old Fairport man was arrested in Ontario County following the investigation into a disturbance at FLACRA.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office responded late Friday night to the East Main Street location in Clifton Springs for a patient who had allegedly armed himself with a metal object and was threatening a nurse. When deputies arrived, the individual was still holding the object and was reportedly upset with staff over a medication issue. Authorities say the man threatened several employees before eventually releasing the object after multiple commands from law enforcement. As deputies took Austin Haynes into custody, he allegedly attempted to spit on them several times.
Haynes was charged with three counts of menacing, attempted assault in the second degree, and attempted assault in the third degree.
Haynes was sent to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of bail and will appear in Town of Manchester Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
