A Fairport man faces charges in the village of Penn Yan following a traffic stop.
Keo Kajchenko was stopped after a DMV check of the car he was driving revealed his operating privileges were suspended on July 18th for his alleged failure to answer a summons out of Geneva City Court. A traffic stop was initiated and a check of his registration revealed he allegedly did not have an active insurance policy.
Kajchenko was ticketed for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating without insurance and will answer the charges in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
