A joint investigation by New York State Police and the Bath Police Department into an open 911 phone call with a disturbance in the background in the Steuben County village resulted in the arrest of an Elmira woman.
An investigation into the incident determined that the primary aggressor, 24-year-old Tatiana Lopez, of Elmira, had allegedly entered the home unlawfully and had damaged property inside. Lopez was charged with burglary and aggravated family offense, both felonies, and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
Lopez was released on an appearance ticket for Bath Village Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
