A motor vehicle collision involving a Wayne County man resulted in his arrest by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
It is alleged that Marc Santiago swerved to avoid colliding with a deer, left the road and struck a street sign in the town of Marion early Friday morning. Upon further investigation by the sheriff’s department, it was determined the 23-year-old Marion man was allegedly driving the car in an intoxicated condition. Santiago was arrested and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where he voluntarily submitted to a chemical test, which determined his BAC to be .16%.
Santiago was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a BAC of .08 or greater, consumption of alcohol in the car, and failure to keep right. Santiago was released on appearance tickets for Marion Town Court.
