A Dundee woman is facing new charges in connection with an incident that occurred in the village of Penn Yan back in June.
Police initially contacted Darcey Semmel after she allegedly stole a package from a porch. During her arrest, officers say they found a plastic bag containing a white powdery substance in her possession. That substance was sent off to the State Police Crime Lab for testing and was confirmed to be methamphetamine.
Semmel was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and released on an appearance ticket
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
