Penn Yan Police have arrested a Dundee woman who repeatedly failed to show up for court.
Officers say 31-year-old Aubrey Asbrand was taken into custody for Failure to Respond to an Appearance Ticket after missing four scheduled appearances in Penn Yan Village Court.
Asbrand was originally charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree following a March 26, 2025 incident. Police say she failed to appear for hearings on April 14, May 19, June 23, and July 28.
She was issued another appearance ticket on the new charge and is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
