A Dundee man has been indicted on a felony charge of vehicular manslaughter for his role in a fatal one-car accident this summer.
At around 7 o’clock on the morning of July 3rd it is alleged that 21-year-old Dakota O’ Shaughnessy was impaired by drugs when he was driving south on Route 14A in Barrington and went off the road. According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, the car rolled over multiple times, struck a culvert and several trees before coming to rest on its roof. The 16-year-old passenger, Ty Gregory, of Dundee, was pronounced dead at the scene.
O’Shaughnessy, who was also indicted on a misdemeanor charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs, was sent to Yates County Jail following his arraignment on Friday.
