The investigation into a physical domestic incident in the village of Dundee resulted in the arrest of a resident on multiple felony charges.
Michael Hoke allegedly threatened the victim with a pair of scissors, then took his shirt off and attempted to suffocate the victim.
The 40-year-old was charged with criminal possession of a weapon as a convicted felon, unlawful imprisonment, and criminal contempt, all felonies. Hoke was also charged with misdemeanor menacing and criminal obstruction of breathing.
Hoke remains was sent to the Yates County Jail following his arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
