A Dundee man already facing multiple child sex abuse charges has been arrested again—this time for predatory sexual assault against a child under 13, a Class A felony.
According to New York State Police, Ronald Chilson was taken into custody on Thursday. This is the third time in just over a year that the 48-year-old Chilson has faced similar charges.
In January, the Yates County District Attorney’s Office charged Chilson with eight felony counts tied to the sexual abuse of children in his care as a foster parent, alleging the abuse took place between 2022 and 2023.
Chilson’s first arrest came in July 2024, following a Yates County Child Protective Services investigation into a February 2024 incident.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
