A trespassing complaint in the village of Penn Yan resulted in the arrest of a 52-year-old Dundee man on a number of charges.
When officers arrived on the scene, they witnessed William Williams leaving the building. Williams was immediately taken into custody on two active warrants issued out of Penn Yan Village Court. Police say they also found Williams to be in the company of a person who is a protected party of a stay-away order of protection against him.
Williams was charged with felony criminal contempt for the crime that was committed in the presence of police. He was also charged with two counts of criminal contempt and aggravated harassment stemming from a separate incident in which Williams had open charges.
Williams was sent to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment.
