A Dundee man is facing trespass charges in Penn Yan. Cecil Stoops III was arrested following a complaint from a local business.
The 44-year-old was banned from the business last Tuesday after an alleged altercation and was warned by employees and police not to return. Police say Stoops returned to the business the next day and when he refused to leave he created a disturbance.
Stoops was released on an appearance ticket for Penn Yan Village Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
