A Dundee man was arrested on a charge of criminal contempt after an investigation by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
It is alleged that Shawn Martz resided with a person for several months who was a protected party on an Order of Protection. The 52-year-old was also charged with filing a false written instrument for allegedly lying on a sworn written statement to a Yates County Deputy.
Martz will appear in Barrington Town Court to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
