Penn Yan Police arrested a Dundee man following a traffic stop in the village.
William Pitcher was stopped on Maiden Lane after police observed his car driving on Main Street with equipment violations. A check of Pitcher’s license revealed his New York operating privileges were suspended for his alleged failure to pay driver responsibility assessment, insurance lapse, and failure to answer a summons out of the town of Leroy.
Pitcher was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unauthorized sticker, and non-transparent side window tint.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
