Both drivers were ticketed following a two-car accident in Wayne County Monday morning.
Michelle Williams, of Williamson, is accused of failing to stop for a red light at the intersection of State Route 104 and Cortland Drive causing her car to collide nearly head-on with another car driven by Alexander Budynski, of Rochester. According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Alexander was making a left turn off of Cortland Drive onto State Route 104.
Williams was ticketed for failing to obey the right light. Additionally, it was learned that Budynski was driving with a suspended driver’s license and was ticketed for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Williams was checked over at the scene by Town of Ontario ambulance personnel. Budynski was not injured.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was helped on the scene by the Ontario and Williamson Fire Departments.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
