    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 to 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Actual air temperature will be below zero each night through Sunday morning. The prolonged cold could cause pipes to freeze or burst. Daytime high temperatures will climb above zero with afternoon highs of 10 to 20 degrees above zero.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Driver Ticketed, Two Hospitalized After Wayne County Accident

Two people were hospitalized after being involved in a two-car crash at the intersection of State Routes 104 and 21 in Williamson.

45-year-old Kenneth Henry, of Rochester, was driving east on 104 when he allegedly failed to stop for a red light and was hit by a car traveling south on 21. Henry, and his passenger, 52-year-old Jennifer Henry, were taken to Strong with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, 46-year-old Sara Desens, of Ontario, and her two passengers suffered minor injuries and refused further treatment.

Henry was issued a ticket for running a red light.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Williamson Ambulance, Wayne County ALS, Wayne County EMS, Ontario EMS, Williamson Fire Department, East Williamson Fire Department and New York State Police.
