SHARE NOW

A 71-year-old man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital Saturday after being involved in a two-car accident on Ridge Road in Ontario.

An investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office determined that 24-year-old Jaszmin Chester, of Rochester, failed to yield the right of way as she attempted to make a left turn onto Ridge Road from Furnace Road. Chester struck a northbound car driven by James Bell in the driver’s side front fender. Bell was taken to Strong for an evaluation and Chester refused any medical treatment at the scene.

Chester was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Ontario Ambulance, Wayne County ALS, and the Ontario Fire Department.
