One of the drivers involved in a two-car collision at the intersection of State Route 64 and Cannan Road in East Bloomfield was ticketed by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office for failure to yield the right of way.
86-year-old Paul Heaney, of Honeoye Falls, was driving a Toyota Prius east on Cannan Road when he failed to yield for a Chevy Volt that was driving south on State Route 64 and collided with it.
Heaney, his passenger 83-year-old Joan Heaney, and the driver of the other vehicle, 49-year-old Mark McClelland, of Bloomfield, were all taken to the hospital for apparent non-life threatening injuries.
East Bloomfield and Ionia fire departments assisted at the scene as did East Bloomfield and Canandaigua EMS.
