Driver Ticketed for Allegedly Causing Two-Car Crash in Wayne County

SHARE NOW

One of the drivers involved in a two-car crash in Wayne County over the weekend was issued multiple traffic citations following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation determined a car driven by 28-year-old Austin Zsedely, of Webster, failed to yield the right of way to east and westbound traffic on State Route 441. Zsedely approached the intersection traveling south on Canandaigua Road before stopping at the posted stop sign. He then made a left-hand turn to travel eastbound on State Route 441. Zsedely pulled out in front of another car traveling east on State Route 441 driven by Pamela Schwartz, of Fairport.

As a result of the crash, Schwartz was transported by Western Wayne Ambulance Services to Strong Memorial Hospital where she was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Zsedely and his passenger were not hurt.

The citations issued to Zsedley were not identified by police in its report.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Western Wayne Ambulance, West Walworth Fire, and Macedon Police.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
