Two people were injured after being involved in a two-car rollover crash in Ontario County on Friday.
James Hamelick was driving his 2017 Jeep Cherokee south on Yellow Mills Road when he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Fox Road and collided with an eastbound car driven by Marnie Tallman, of Farmington. The collision caused Tallman’s car to roll over multiple times into a field.
Deputies were able to extricate Tallman from her car. She and Hamelick were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Victor Ambulance for complaints of chest pain.
Hamelick was ticketed for failure to stop at a stop sign.
The Farmington Fire Department assisted in its investigation.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
