The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office has released details regarding an accident on June 21st in Romulus.
Richard Gunderman of Endicott was driving north on State Route 89 when the first of the four vehicles in front of him slowed to turn left into a parking lot. At the same time, Gunderman attempted to pass the four cars and had to swerve to avoid the car turning and drove into a ditch. His vehicle struck a telephone pole and rolled into a vineyard.
The 64-year-old complained of neck and chest pain and was taken to Cayuga Medical Center by South Seneca Ambulance.
Gunderman was ticketed for unsafe passing, speeding, and unsafe lane change.
