A two-car rollover accident with entrapment on State Route 14 in the town of Starkey sent one of the driver’s to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of head, neck, and chest injuries.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, 80-year-old Peter Levatino, of Dundee, was driving south at around 10:30 Saturday morning when he made a left turn and struck a northbound car driven by 50-year-old Belynda Dalbeck, of Corning. Dalbeck was taken to Rochester by ambulance for treatment of her injuries.
Levatino was not injured and was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way while making a left turn.
The Dundee Fire Department, Dundee Ambulance, Yates County EMS and New York State Police assisted at the scene.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
