SHARE NOW

A Central New York man faces charges in Seneca County after he was allegedly spotted driving on the wrong side of the road.

A traffic stop conducted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office in the town of Junius determined the driver, 42-year-old Dennis Williamson, of Rome, was allegedly under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Williamson was taken into custody without incident.

Williamson was charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and driving while ability impaired by the combined influence of drugs or alcohol, all felonies.

Williamson was released on an appearance ticket for Junius Town Court.

State Police assisted the Sheriff’s Office in the traffic stop.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
