A Newark woman faces charges under Leandra’s Law after she allegedly drove drunk with two children in her car.
Angela Rinker’s arrest stems from a one-car accident that happened just before eight Monday night on State Route 14 in Lyons. She was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated, Leandra’s Law driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation, license restriction violation, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, acting in a manner to injure a child under 17, vehicular assault, reckless endangerment and no/unapproved safety seat for back seat passenger age 7-15.
Rinker was brought to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where a breath sample taken from her showed a .21 of 1% blood alcohol content.
Rinker was released following her arraignment.
