Police ticketed the driver of a 2020 BMW that was found in a wooded area approximately 150 yards off a road in Ontario County Tuesday morning.
An investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office found that 35-year-old Viet Nguyen was driving too fast on East Lake Road in Richmond when his vehicle left the road and rolled 600 yards before colliding with a tree and coming to rest. Nguyen suffered minor injuries and was taken to Strong by ambulance. He was issued a citation for speeding. Additional charges could be pending.
The road was closed for a period of time while crews worked to remove the vehicle.
Richmond Fire and Ambulance assisted on the scene.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
