The driver involved in an accident just after 6 a.m. Monday in Yates County faces a number of charges, including drunken driving.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, Christopher Rolfe, of Sodus, was driving south on Skyline Drive in Jerusalem when he crossed over into the northbound lane and drove off the east side of the road. Rolfe’s Chevy Silverado struck a block retaining wall before coming to rest.
After being taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital, Rolfe was taken to Yates County Jail to await arraignment on DWI, Failure to Keep Right, Criminal Mischief, Attempted Criminal Mischief, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle charges.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Penn Yan Ambulance, Branchport Fire Department and Yates EMS.
