A Lyons woman was arrested Friday morning following the investigation into a one-car accident in Lyons.
It is alleged that 23-year-old Caitlin Shaffer hit a curb with her car, causing it to leave the road and collide with a tree. An investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office determined that Shaffer was allegedly driving in an intoxicated condition.
Shaffer was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where she voluntarily submitted to a chemical test which determined her BAC to be .18%.
Shaffer was charged with DWI, DWI with a BAC of .18% or greater, and unsafe lane change. Shaffer will appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
