A Fairport man is facing charges after being involved in a one-car crash on Valentown Road in the town of Victor.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Edward Bailey was driving a 2022 Ford Maverick when he left his lane, crossed over into the oncoming lane of traffic and struck a guardrail. Police believe the 29-year-old had fallen asleep prior to the accident occurring.
Bailey was taken to Thompson Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Sheriff’s Deputies charged Bailey with Driving While Impaired by Drugs.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
